Prolly the only verse from Diddy I’ll ever like. Hope its the last.
There is one thing that you guys don’t know about me.
I’m a fat kid at heart.
I’m heading to Buffalo Wild Wings with my bro and I’m already planning what I’m gonna eat in my head.
I eat a lot but I never gain a pound. Some people hate me for that. Hence the name (wait for it). Ha.
Peace,
ROE
Check out my feature in a dope online magazine, Phresh Mentality. Click here and when you reach the page click on The Lotus at the bottom to view the magazine.
I knew of the Buster Douglas story but today I watched this on Sportscenter and found it quite interesting. Check it out.
Kurt Warner is probably one of my favorite NFL Quarterbacks. I remember when he first hit the NFL and he was leading “the greatest show on turf” with the St. Louis Rams. I thought “wow, dude was stocking groceries and now he’s leading a team in a Super Bowl”. He was like the fish that saved the Rams or at least attempted to.
I saw some footage from the press conference and I listened to the analyst talk about Kurt’s journey to the NFL. He barely played at Northern Iowa. He went to the Arena League, bounced to NFL Europe, and bagged groceries all before getting his shot at the NFL. Warner is the epitome of a hard worker and I hope the NFL Hall of Fame realizes that as well.
Soulstars and Soulstarettes,
Check back tonight. I’m going to give you guys an exclusive off of Just Listen Vol 2. Stay Tuned.
Peace,
ROE
Its been awhile since I posted some kicks but when I saw these I thought these were dope. The Nike Mad Jibe is like a hybrid Nike Dunk. I was big on the dunks and I love these hybrids. Not a huge fan of the colorway but I do love the design. If you like what you see, you can buy these online at Proper.
Props to High Snobiety
The Foreign Exchange (for those that don’t know) is a duo between Phonte (one half of Little Brother) and Nicolay (a music producer from the Netherlands). I got this album when it first dropped back in 2004 but I hadn’t gave it a full listen in a while until today. This album has some gems on it but my favorite joint is “Call”. All in All, classic album. I hope the pull out this Grammy nod as well for their current album, Leave It All Behind.
Got a new beat from my homie Izzy and I haven’t stopped bumping it. Pictured above is me working on a rough draft. Yes, I’m starting on my debut EP. Oh by the way, JLV2 is DONE! It’ll be in the hands of the good people at rockthedub.com this weekend. Brace yourselves now.
